A worthwhile anniversary to observe.

I find myself pondering a lot lately what I was doing (etc) on this day X years ago--probably because one year ago there was no Adam, two years ago no Magda, three years ago no (in-the-flesh) Emily, four years ago no Slovenia and on and on.

I'm glad to read that you're finding that, net, the recent past has been a good one.
